Effect of large-scale flows on rotation inversions
1 : Kiepenheuer-Institut für Sonnenphysik
Recently, the first differential rotation measurements inside subgiant stars have been published by Deheuvels et al. (A&A 564, A27, 2014). These stars might have strong convective motions that form large-scale granules. We present an approach for estimating the effect of these large-scale flows on the eigenfrequencies. Possible effects on differential rotation inversions are discussed.
