Final Announcement

The CoRoT3 - KASC7 conference is now about to begin and we have some last-minute information to share with you.

Venue

The conference will be held at the Espaces Vanel in Toulouse.
You can find a map on the conference website in the dedicated section of the conference website:

The Espaces Vanel is on the 6th and last floor. The entrance is just opposite the public library "Mediathèque José Cabanis". Once through the doors, you will find 3 lifts to reach the 6th floor.

Registration

Registration will be opened at the front desk of the Espaces Vanel (on the 6th floor) on Sunday 6 Jul 2014 from 17:00 to 20:00.
We will also open the registration on Monday 7 Jul 2014 from 08:00; the first session will start at 09:00.
If you arrive on Sunday, we encourage you to register on Sunday evening.

Posters

You can install your poster after registering. Each panel will have a number which corresponds to the number appointed to your poster in the abstract book.

Talks

The programme is almost final. You will find it at the the following address:

As you will see, the schedule is really tight. We kindly ask the speakers to respect it.
The conference will be recorded and broadcast on the internet.

Breaks and lunches

Breaks and lunches will be served in the room where posters are exposed.

Welcome Cocktail

A welcome cocktail will take place at the Espaces Vanel on Sunday (6 Jul 2014) from 19:00 to 21:00.

Wednesday tour

The tour to Albi and Gaillac wineries will start at 13:15 on Wednesday (9 Jul 2014).
We will have limited time for lunch on Wednesday. You will probably have no time to go back to your hotel before the buses leave.
The tour includes a visit of the episcopal city of Albi and its cathedral, and a short organ concert in the cathedral.
On the way back from Albi to Toulouse, the buses will stop in Gaillac wineries.
We will be back in Toulouse around 19:30.

Young Astronomers Mixer

We will organize a Young Astronomers Mixer on Wednesday night (9 Jul 2014), after the excursion to Albi. As usual, age itself is an irrelevant parameter to determine whether you are young or not, so everyone is welcome! Just to have a rough idea of the number of participants, we kindly ask you to fill the doodle at the following link:

Conference Dinner

The conference dinner will take place on Thursday night (10 Jul 2014), at the Hôtel-Dieu Saint-Jacques.
You can easily walk to this place from the city centre.
Alternatively, you can take the underground (the "Métro", line A), stop at "Saint-Cyprien République", and walk 500 meters along the street "Rue de la République". You can also take bus 14 at Jean Jaurès station (direction "Basso Cambo") and stop at "Cours Dillon", just in front of the Hotel-Dieu.

Public Transport

If everything goes as planned, you will be given a pass for public transport in Toulouse on the first day of the conference. These passes will give you access to underground, bus, tram and "la Navette aéroport" (the airport shuttle) during the time of the conference (including Saturday 12th). You will get more information about this during registration.
