Exoplanet characterization and monitoring of transiting exoplanets with ground-based observations

Here I describe the current status of ongoing exoplanet follow-up projects at the Instituto de Astrofisica de Canarias (IAC). Taking advantage of the wide range of telescopes/instruments that IAC has access at the Canary Islands, we are conducting several observational projects aiming the characterization and monitoring of transiting exoplanets. In particular, I present the first results of atmospheric studies via transmission spectroscopy observations obtained with the Gran Telescopio de Canarias (GTC) and the William Herschel Telescope (WHT). Additionally, I present the current status of a campaign of secondary transit observations of selected exoplanets.
